I've been doing a lot of work with my sketches recently, more so than inked linework.
Something about the look of pics with the sketchy lines still showing underneath, really appeals to me, so I've been having a field day in my (somewhat limited - I should be doing homework!!!) spare time.
A scene in SotS (my story).
Callon (the lady on the left) was, only a few days earlier, told of her loves death.
Unfortunately, the news was a lie, arranged by Kyathane's twin brother, Kayethos (shady chara on the right), who out of spite for his siblings meddling in his plans, decided to torment his brother through his family, beginning with his grieving lifemate.
Posing as Ky, Kas gains entry into Callon's home, masquerading as Kyathane returned from the dead (not all that difficult since they are identical!).
Shocked and bewildered, Callon is at first overwhelmed with relief but as the evening wears on, she begins to realise something is very wrong with her beloved.
But, grief has left her tormented and in desperate need of companionship, so when the impostor with the face of her husband reaches for her, she finds she hasn't the strength to turn him away...
This is simply fantastic, as always. I also like the story behind it. Most of my drawings on my gallery are pictures from a book I've been working on for the last ten years and is almost ready to be sent off to the publishers. I'm much too afraid to share the details over the net though, so I admire your bravery.
Thanks, hon!
Heh, I've been writing this thing for a few years now too, but I'm in no rush to get it published yet, perhaps one day... it's still changing too much to be published!
I very much like the way that you draw noses. And yes, that sketchy but still shaded style is somehow quite appealing. I enjoy the little details in this piece, such as the way that his thumb is pushing up the skin on her cheek.
It looks.... very intimate.
Very beautiful lines! I adore the sketchiness and the looseness of it all. The eyes are expressive, and the muted sepia adds a lot of style to the piece.
Easily one of your best ones, VERONICAAA! (can I call you that, or is that only for real live friends )

Very very beautiful, I like the facial features of the male (of course the female is beautiful as well) I like how intense he looks, and she looks as though she is melting in his hands...submitting to his immense intensity. Very beautiful
I love the sensuality of this pic! The color is perfect. It's like one of those moments that you love to freeze frame and stick in a photo album or something. Really beautiful!

The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
In this article you will find many thumbnails of the sun in different forms, all photography featured here by the club feature-me. Please show your support for these artists and their work and the article so that more people can see their work.
